2 double bedrooms with private bathroom & lounge

Two bright and comfortable double bedrooms which between them share a private bathroom and private lounge in a character cottage. A help yourself buffet breakfast is provided. An ideal country getaway or a great base for exploring local attractions including Oxford and the Cotswolds. There is ample parking on the driveway and a large garden. It is also possible to book just the one bedroom -this is listed separately. A buffet style breakfast using good quality produce is provided for you to help yourself; toast served with homemade conserves, juice, choice of cereals, fruit and tea or freshly ground coffee. A large double bedroom with a free standing hanging rail and drawer space. A comfortable kingsize bed and good quality mattress. A second double bedroom with comfortable double bed and mattress and wardrobe hanging space and drawer space. Black out blinds and a quiet location help towards getting a good nights sleep. A lovely lounge for your exclusive use, to sit in the evening and watch Sky TV or make use of the free WiFi. A large, modern bathroom for your exclusive use. It has a toilet, bath, basin and separate shower. Good quality towels and toiletries are provided for your convenience. Guests may have light use of the kitchen and microwave to make drinks and snacks and help themselves to and eat breakfast. Breakfast can also be enjoyed on the patio. We are very happy to advise on places to visit in and around Oxford and can make recommendations on different restaurants and places to visit, where to park in Oxford etc. We have a shy but friendly cat. The house is in a pretty rural village adjacent to a village green and has a few village shops including small supermarkets, a post office, an eco shop and a hairdressers. It has a pub serving delicious home cooked food and is within a few minutes drive or 15 minutes walk to many other excellent pubs. Our garden is a haven for birds and wildlife. We have frequent visits from muntjac and roe deer, pheasants, squirrels and rabbits. The village is in an excellent location to enjoy exploring Oxford, the Cotswolds, the historic wool market town of Witney, the World Heritage site Blenheim Palace and many beautiful walks in the countryside. We are a minutes walk from Kingston House and gardens. The nearest train stations are Didcot Parkway, Oxford Parkway or Oxford all of which are approximately 15 - 20 minutes drive. We are less than an hour on the train from London. We are close to bus stops which have a frequent service to Oxford, Swindon, Faringdon and Abingdon. Check in time is 4pm- 8pm and check out by 10am, although these times can sometimes be varied by negotiation. Children are welcomed over the age of 7 but we do not have any facilities for them. Hairdryer in both bedrooms and an iron and ironing board available on request. Use of washing machine and tumble drier. We ask for £5 per load please. We want our guests to enjoy their stay with us and we ask that our home is treated with respect. Accidents can happen but if anything is damaged or broken during your stay please let us know.
