Beautifully refurbished barn on a private quiet estate in the Cotswolds. French oak beams & stone flooring, underfloor heating, surrounded by open farmland & miles of walking on the doorstep in an AONB. 1 mile from the stunning villages of Chedworth & Calmsden, 6 miles from the market town of Cirencester. Many cotswold pubs nearby. 100Mbps internet. Exclusive use of the outdoor seating area & large beautiful garden with a variety of fruit trees. 1-2 well behaved dogs welcome free of charge. The barn has an open plan sitting room with large oak table and chairs. The seating area has two sofas, TV and Bluetooth wireless portable speaker as well as an electric wood burner. The barn sleeps 4. There are two bedrooms, the double bedroom mezzanine is accessible by the locally hand crafted bespoke oak staircase, please note this is an 'open' mezzanine.  Downstairs is a twin bedroom which can be made in to a double if required with views across the garden. We are happy to provide an extra made up camp bed for children Under 5 at an additional cost of £30 per night. Under 2s free of charge. Broadband and wifi speed of up to 100Mbps. NEW bathroom installed Feb 2021 with large bath and a very good shower. New water system installed in 2017. Electric Wood Burning Stove. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker, hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine as well as the normal appliances such as a toaster and kettle. White Company linen and towels.  Exclusive use of the beautiful garden, garden furniture and patio area. Exclusive use of the built in charcoal barbecue in the patio area. Dogs – We accept 1 - 2 well behaved dogs free of charge. There are 4 friendly dogs who live in the main house with the owners, 2 friendly cats and 2 ponies. The barn is for your use entirely. The barn is self-catering. We will leave some basic provisions such as cereals, croissants, butter, bread, milk, teas, coffee and jams. Strictly no smoking in the barn but terracotta pots outside the barn doors if you wish to smoke. The barn has its own private driveway and parking area and there is access to the beautiful garden.  We have lived at Ashwell for just over five years and live in the main house 75 yards away which has just been refurbished so we were lucky enough to live in the barn with our two young children for the last 6 months but have now moved back in to the main house. We are there to answer any questions you may have but we want to make your stay as private as possible and we are very happy to give you any recommendations you require, just ask! We have four dogs, two cats and two ponies.  Chedworth is a small Cotswold village only 6 miles from Cirencester and Bibury and 11 miles from Cheltenham. There are some wonderful pubs locally including The Seven Tuns in Chedworth who boast a chef who has come from Nobu in London. There are many other beautiful surrounding villages. Cirencester is wonderful for shopping and benefits from many pubs/restaurants and coffee shops. There are many interesting places to including the Cotswold Lakes where there is sailing, waterskiing, wake boarding, restaurants and bicycle trails.  The Corrinium Museum, Cirencester Polo Club, Cirencester Park which is wonderful for a walk. The New Brewery Arts, Cirencester Abbey and Abbey Grounds.  The Cotswold Wildlife Park near Lechlade is a highly recommended place to visit that we and the children are regular visitors of. Public transport is very limited. It is possible to walk to the pub which would take you around 20 minutes. We have taxi numbers if necessary. Car: Chedworth is located approximately one mile away from the A429 (Fosse Way) and is easily accessed by car. Train: The nearest railway station to Chedworth is Kemble (approximately 12 miles away), which has regular, direct services to London Paddington, with a typical journey time of less than 90 minutes. Kingham Station (approximately 17 miles away) also has regular, direct services to London Paddington, with a typical journey time of approximately 90 minutes. Plane: Birmingham International Airport: 58 miles, approximately 75 minute drive; Heathrow International Airport: 75 miles, approximately 90 minute drive; Bristol International Airport: 58 miles, approximately 90 minute drive. We will provide you with breakfast essentials such as cereals, croissants, butter, bread, jams, milk, teas, coffee and half a dozen of our silky bantams eggs! We are very lucky to have a wonderful pub, the Seven Tuns which is great for food or just a drink. The Village Pub in Barnsley, The Bathurst Arms in North Cerney and The Wheatsheaf in Northleach are all wonderful local pubs. There is also the famous Chedworth Roman Villa. Stunning walks and bike rides are to be had throughout Chedworth and surrounding villages.  Public transport is very limited.
