We are incredibly glad to have an interest in our wonderful environment, because we are working to be endlessly satisfied and returning to our guests! The Boronaház Porta offers a relaxed holiday to enjoy a relaxed rural life for those who can get an insight into the traditional life style of the Guard. The apartment is fully equipped, without any completeness: double hotplate, fridge, sink, coffee maker, microwave oven, dinnerware, welcome drink ... The apartment has 2 rooms, the bedroom is solid wood, 200x180cm double bed with 200x180cm mat, and in the foreground there are 2 separate solid wood beds 200x90cm. Shared kitchen and dining room We organize tasting of local specialties, place breakfast, prepare for the cooking of potatoes and grilling. We suggest active recreation, organizing their programs at their request. We will show you the nearby curiosities and ideas for rainy days. Our large communal kitchen and dining room were specially built with rustic furniture and equipped with large pots for catering. The peoples of the Carpathian Basin: the Huns of the Avars Empire's defense line moved here, and the Öb and the Ancient tribes settled down and they - undoubtedly the Avar population left in them - absorbed the protection of Hungarian tribes against the western neighbors, they were also points for smaller adventures. The country became an important part of the turf system and then the border guard of the Hungarian Kingdom. György Nemes-Folk wrote in 1818 about the guardian men: "They are hairy, brownish-looking, serious looking, chestnut-haired, oblong-headed, tiny sharp-eyed. They are silent, strong, and good for soldiers. "Those who had a chance to know Szeklerland and the Őrség could find that there are many kinships between the Székely people and the guardian people. Undoubtedly similarity is based on the same lifestyle and living conditions. The hypothesis that resembles the same origin of the two groups of people seems to be intense: namely that these peoples are descendants of Avars. The Őrség stands for "guards area", "guards inhabited by hills". They were patrol patrol patrons who received patents from the king, and then King Matthias had noble privilege. Guardians, at their own expense, with their own weapons, defended the western border against invasions of Styrian and various German princes. Their independence has been preserved for centuries, and their particular, lifelong thinking and the sense of Hungarians have been preserved to this day. These people insist on their homeland, ancient ancestral names - Batha, Könye, Inner, Forjan, Tamaskó - are still common in this area. The Trianon tragedy, then the post-retirement policy after 45, the establishment of the border zone, and the nationalization of forests also tested the tolerability of this people, the drastic migration and the decline of the population began. This tendency can be solved only by the tourists and visitors who are interested in natural beauties and ancient traditions. From Őriszentpéter in the direction of Kondorfa - Szentgotthárd, towards the latter, we turn west and leave the settlement passing by the old parish church, and after a few km arrive to Szalafő. The Inn is located to the left of the road sign indicating the area of the Slafő inhabited area. Boronaház Comfortable, newly built (1999) log house, or as it is called, a harrowhouse (ancient construction).
