In consideration of all guests, we do not allow pets. La Petite Maison is a small cottage in Lower Normandy. It is situated next to the owners house and we are normally here to welcome you. There is plenty of space to park cars, vans or garage two motorcycles. The cottage has a main salon and kitchen, one upstairs bedroom which can accommodate up to four persons, one double bed and two single beds. On this level there is a shower room with toilet. All bedding and towels are provided. The staircase is open and steep, be sure this will suit your group members. Downstairs there is a fully fitted kitchen/living space with all appliances. There is tea/coffee milk and sugar for your use. There is a TV which has English freesat and also a DVD player with DVD's . For the colder months there is a log burner and wood is provided. Outside there is a Jacuzzi that loverlooks the garden. Next to the Jacuzzi is an al fresco dining area with covering sails. The garden area is availble to guests and is extensive, with many trees and a swing for the children. We are about 1.5 hours from Brittany Ferries at Caen and approx 3 hours from Dieppe ferry port. Channel tunnel is a good 5 hour drive. We are situated about 15 mins either way to large Supermarkets and there is a small shop in the next village, Ger. Flers is 20 kms away with a full range of shops plus swimming pool, bowling alley and restaurants. A 50km drive will get you to the coast at the famous Mont St Micheal. You can also visit the beautifully preserved Norman castle at Falaise which was where William the Conquerer grew up. Also you have the WW2 beaches just a few miles from Caen. There are plenty of cycling and walking routes and empty roads for touring. If you are a fisherman they are plenty of river and fishing lakes. We are Steve and Poppy and we would be glad to welcome you. The area is rural, quiet and tranquill. There is nothing better than a glass of wine in the hot tub relaxing. We would be pleased to help you all we can on your break. We welcome motorcyclists and cyclists. We have workshop and storage facilities if required. the neighbourhood is farming countryside and the most you see on the quite country roads are farm vehicles. To visit us you will need transport as there is no bus service or train local We do not allow dogs or other pets.
