Secluded New Forest Hideaway
Set behind Minstead's former 18th century bakery, relax in your own secluded courtyard and super cosy hideaway with double bedroom, shower room and kitchen. A charming local pub, The Trusty Servant, is less than 50 metres away and the village church (where Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of Sherlock Holmes is buried) is a stone's throw away. The Hideaway features a new kitchen with 2-ring hob, oven, fridge with a small freezer compartment and Nespresso coffee machine (so you don't miss out on your morning caffeine prior to a walk or ride!). The double bedroom has a truly comfortable king-sized bed with a separate en-suite which features a sink, toilet and shower. The reception area includes a television and table for two to enjoy your well earned evening meal. Outside, the Hideaway has its own private courtyard and BBQ area. Doggies are more than welcome. On arrival, you will find milk in the fridge, tea, Nespresso coffee machine and some breakfast items to get you started including bread, butter, jam, cereal, and some fruit. Breakfast is not included daily. Linen and towels are all provided. I live in the Old Bakery at the other end of the garden, so I or Katie will always be on hand to help. The New Forest National Park is a truly beautiful location. Minstead is a picture postcard village with donkeys and horses wondering daily on the village green. Just a few miles down away is the picturesque village of Lyndhurst, a must for any visitor, offering a wide range of shops, pubs, the New Forest Museum, tea rooms, cafes and restaurants. Locally, there are a wide number of attractions including Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary and Furzey Gardens. The area offers good road links, giving easy access to London, Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and the West Country. The nearest beach is around twenty minutes by car and the following popular places are all within easy reach of Minstead: Bournemouth (20 mins); Poole (30 mins); the Isle of Wight (short ferry journey); Lymington (20 mins); Southampton (20 mins); Salisbury (20 mins); Winchester (30 mins) and Portsmouth (40 mins). The New Forest is pretty rural so it is best to have a car as the bus services are very limited. We are close to good towns and villages to explore. There is plenty of room to store bikes in the Hideaway's courtyard.
