*NEW* Griff Cottage is located in Skinningrove on the North Yorkshire coast, an ideal location to explore the beautiful coastline or head inland to the North Yorkshire Moors. Just a few hundred yards from a choice of two fantastic beaches and the Cleveland Way and short walk to the local pub serving food. The cottage has been fully refurbished to a very high standard in 2020 and every effort has made to ensure your stay with us is as perfect as possible. Featuring a kitchen diner which enjoys a lot of natural light and fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washer and dryer), TV and dining table. Outside we have over 40m of outside space including a small garden area, summer house, patio, barbeque and deck with dining area. The living room is darker in colour with an exposed fireplace, comfy sofa's and TV. Upstairs we have two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a super king bed that can be split into two singles if required, the second bedroom has a standard double. The bathroom has a large shower cubicle with body jets and a separate bath. Guests have the use of a private parking space at the rear of the property which gives access to a quite flat entry to the property which is a lot easier with suitcases. Just a few hundred yards from the choice of two beaches, Skinningrove beach and Cattersy Sands which is featured in the Daily Telegraph top 40 UK Beaches. An ideal base to explore some wonderful woodland or coastal walks. Utilising the Cleveland Way at the sea front turn right to follow the route to Staithes (6 miles) or turn left and head to Saltburn (4 miles). The scenery afforded by both walks is breath-taking and both have decent public transport links back to the village. Skinningrove is a paradise for dogs with fantastic walking, a run across the beach or a dip in the sea. Griff cottage welcomes dogs and we even provide their own outside shower with warm water and their own towels. There is a telephone contact number for any eventuality, we live in the next village and can be on hand. In covid times we provide the welcome manual on a tablet, this includes a wealth of information about the area, walking routes and recommendations on places to eat and things to see. Please get in touch with any special requests which we will do our utmost to accommodate. Skinningrove is a sleepy town with a real get away from it all feel. The village has a well stocked shop, a fish and chip shop and a very reasonable local pub with food and a beer garden. A 5/10 minute car journey gives access to more eating establishments and a choice of bigger supermarkets. Whitby is just 15 miles away
