Tranquil Riverside getaway. paddle boarding/canoes

Experience the best of both worlds. Sleep under stars at a tranquil Riverside location. Maybe drink wine around the fire pit or wonder along the towpath to one of the many pubs and restaurants that are only 20minutes away. Or maybe use one of our paddle boards or canoes to explore the beautiful river medway and its natural wildlife. The choices are very much yours. very sorry but not suitable to pets. You’ll have a whole 5m bell tent to yourself on our lovely plot of land next to the river Medway. Get cosy around the fire pit or say hello to the goats next door. Head out on a river adventure in the canoes or on the paddle boards. Walk into Maidstone town centre for shops, bars and restaurants or to East Farleigh or the stunning country side beyond. We have a extra 2 person tent and inflatable mattress that we can set up for an additional charge if you have kids needing their own space. Amenities include hot water shower, toilet,fridge and an electric socket to charge a phone ect It’s a lovely location in between Maidstone town centre and the picturesque village of East Farleigh. The site is along the river towpath on 30*30m plot of land with a railway radio tower on the periphery. The train track runs above at the end of the plot but trains are slow and only once an hour and rarely at night so it’s very peaceful. The neighbours on the right have a mini animal sanctuary so you’ll have goats to say hello to in the morning. The river is generally very slow running so perfect for canoeing and paddle boarding. There are also some lovely walks (10km along the river to Yalding) as well as great country gastro pubs short drives away. Above the plot is a farm with a great little farm shop about 10-15 mins walk away for lovely local produce The train is within east access with a 15min walk from East Farleigh and 20mins from Maidstone West. There is free parking on site Basic camping toilet and shower facilities are in place - outdoor chemical toilet and hot shower. It’s nothing fancy so please be aware - this is reflected in the price. Outdoor cooking facilities also available (Deliveroo does deliver here though if you don’t fancy cooking!)
