Town: Winkhill is a tiny hamlet close to the Peak District National Park, two miles from the village of Waterhouses. Waterhouses has shops, pubs and eateries, and also offers access to the Manifold Trail, a long, flat track along the former railway line, much used by walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The Alton Towers Theme Park is a short drive away, and the rest of the Peak District National Park is on the doorstep.
