If Barns Tower happens to be booked when you want to stay, we do have two other luxurious properties right next door at Barns Cottage and Barns Bothy, both available through Airbnb. Enjoy staying in a cosy, romantic miniature castle with all the luxuries of the 21st century. There is a luxurious double bed on the top floor and a possible 2 extra single beds in the Sitting Room. Linen, towels, heating and firewood are included, as well as wifi and a selection of toiletries. It is possible to arrange a private visit to Neidpath Castle if you should wish. There is a housekeeper nearby if you should have any queries, but otherwise you have complete privacy. The rolling hills and romantic valleys of Peebleshire are some of the loveliest in the land. World class Glentress is nearby for keen mountain bikers and Peebles is full of charm, with an award winning chocolatier and plenty of interesting shops. It is essential to have your own transport, be it car or bike. Edinburgh airport and train station are about 50 minutes drive. Peebles is 4 miles away. The Tower is ancient with open fires and fairly steep stairs, so not very convenient for small children or those unable to walk.
