Beautifully renovated rooms in the New Forest
Beautifully renovated rooms for a self contained break in the New Forest with direct access on to the open forest. Great for dog walking or just a yomp to the pub. Perfectly situated for visits to the Cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester, quaint New Forest towns such as Lyndhurst and Lymington and historic sites such as Stonehenge. This is a working small holding with cows, chickens, Guinea fowl and horses. The paddocks lead to a wood and stream where you can relax in the shepherds hut. Cosy, tastefully decorated rooms, designed for a relaxing break. Newly installed bathroom with a large walk in shower. A king size bed and a large comfy sofa. Completely self contained with good WiFi connection and cooking facilities too, should you want to cook! The property is totally self contained, so cooking and laundry facilities are available therefore totally suited to an ‘isolated’ stay. There is plenty of outside space, a barbecue and fire pit in the shared garden and a shepherds hut in the wood. We live here so we are always on hand for our guests if needed, but you will be totally self sufficient so contact is not necessary. Although we are very happy to share our local knowledge on walks, sightseeing or local hostelries should it be required. We never tire of walking out of our back gate on to the open forest. Whatever the season, weather or time of day it is magical. The animals and bird life are ever changing and you can create your own mini safari just walking to the pub! There are some great pubs within walking distance. The nearest is Rockingham Arms, Wellow (I would recommend booking a table if you like the look of it) which is about 20 minutes from the back gate across the forest. Then there is The Lamb, Nomansland and The Royal Oak, Fritham. These are a bit further but well worth the effort! We have plenty of parking here so why not abandon your car and walk or cycle? Bring your wellies, the forest can be wet even in the summer! Friendly, well trained are very welcome (we do have two dogs of our own).
