Alice's Cottage, Fairford

The cottage is a short walk from Fairford town centre. All the rooms on the ground floor have underfloor heating and the living room also has a wood burner. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. The bathroom is on the ground floor with a shower over the bath. Parking is on the street just outside the front door. Outside is a small patio and lawn with a garden shed if you bring bicycles. I live next door so am always willing to give help you if you need it. Fairford is famous for the stained windows in its beautiful Church and has a much photographed Mill nearby. There are three small supermarkets (which stay open late), a chemist, butcher, post office, hairdresser, beauty salon, and a bookshop. There are three coffee shops, two restaurants and several takeaways. Wednesday is Market Day. Fairford is a good base for visiting the Cotswolds. It is easily accessed from the M4 and is situated in the Cotswold Water Park . Cirencester, nine miles away, has a thriving theatre "The Barn" and the Everyman at Cheltenham is 25 miles away. There are many Cotswold towns and properties to visit within easy driving distance. Bibury famous for Arlington Row, is 6 miles away and Bourton-on-the Water, 18 miles.
