Homely Cottage close to Sherwood Forest

Our beautiful cottage is set in the very quaint village of Ollerton. 5 minutes from Centre Parcs, Sherwood Forest and Sherwood Pines, makes for an ideal bolt hole for families who loves getting outdoors. Just around the corner to the oldest working watermill in nottigham, the setting couldn't be more ideal. With a famous tea room, just next door, they make the finest tea in the country, as voted by the public! The village also boast numerous restaurants and pubs for you to endulge yourself in. FULL REFUNDS-SHOULD COVID RULES STILL BE IN PLACE. Old Ollerton is a conservation area on the very doorstep of Sherwood Forest in an area known as the Dukeries. Rufford Abbey is one mile and Sherwood Forest, with the famous Major Oak, Sherwood Pines, Centre Parcs and Clumber Park are just a few minutes drive. The village itself is home to the oldest working watermill in the country, which also houses a splendid tearoom, Ollerton Watermill Teashop. Savile House dates from the 1800's and has spent it's life as a variety of shops including tobacconist, fruiterer & post office.Savile House has an enclosed rear patio garden with seating and a rear parking space for one car. The bathroom is upstairs and has a shower over the bath. We have fibre WiFi and full central heating, along with a cast iron electric stove in the lounge. The living room is a loveley size and has 2 three seater sofas, coffee tables, 40" TV with freeview and catchup channels. The kitchen is very spacious and has an oak dining table with 4 chairs and a bench. All conveniences are provided. Bed linen and towels are provided along with a starter amount of tea/coffee/sugar and milk. Pets are welcome at the property, but with consideration to future guests, please keep them downstairs. Maximum two dogs per stay. The whole property during your stay is fully accessible with no restrictions. We're always at the end of a phone, should you need us Ollerton Village is a conservation area on the doorstep of Sherwood Forest. In the village itself is a lovely tearoom The Watermill Teashop, an Italian Restaurant and the Hop Pole Hotel. We are just a mile from Rufford Abbey Park. Sherwood Pines, with Segways, mountain bikes and GoApe is 3 miles away. Clumber Park is 6 miles. Of course, the Major Oak in Sherwood Forest is just a couple of miles up the road in Edwinstowe where you will also find a craft centre and a variety of village shops and restaurants. Southwell is a beautiful town with it's magnificent minster and the old workhouse, 12 miles away. You can get to Nottingham and Lincoln in 45 mins; and to the peak district (Chatsworth House etc) in an hour by car. There’s plenty to explore on foot or bike. Ollerton has a good bus service that can take you into Edwinstowe, Mansfield or to Nottingham and surrounding villages.
