Sleeps up to 5 . A charming, cosy traditional cottage dating back to 1870 in the small hamlet of Fir Tree, Crook. Although almost 200 years old, it has been mostly modernised inside to give modern conveniences along with retaining charm and character. 2 pub/restaurants in the hamlet serving excellent food. Although situated on the A68, the main road to Edinburgh, the cottage itself is a haven of tranquility with double glazing throughout. I live 3 miles away but am always on hand if needed. A peaceful haven yet conveniently situated on the A68 for easy access to Durham, Newcastle, Northumberland and a great stop-off en-route to Scotland. The whole cottage 2 lovely quiet village pubs at either end of the row both serving food. There is also a local diner approximately 1.5 miles away also serves food throughout the day, pastries, cakes as well as take-out Sunday Dinners. Free parking at the front of the cottage.
