Situated on the beautiful South Links Holiday Park, Montrose on a raised pitch overlooking the touring area and childrens playpark and only a five minute walk to the beautiful Montrose Beach and nearby Splashpark. Our Home from Home has 1 double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms, toilet with shower, separate toilet, open plan living/dining/kitchen area, double glazing, central heating, microwave, dvd/tv, wifi, hairdryer, bedding and spacious decking area for enjoying those summer evenings. Our Home from Home is just that, a Home from Home. With all the comforts and amenities you need to have a relaxing and enjoyable stay including a selection of books for those bookworms out there and dvd's for those rainy days. The coastal town of Montrose sits between Dundee and Aberdeen and boasts an attractive town centre and a wide sandy beach. Montrose is a great little town which sits on the edge of a virtually landlocked two-mile-square lagoon of mud known as the Basin, which is a nature reserve and haven for wildfowl and wading birds who love its mud. On the south side of the Basin, a mile out of Montrose along the A92, the Montrose Basin Wildlife Centre has binoculars, high-powered telescopes, bird hides and remote control video cameras. In addition, the centre's resident ranger leads regular guided walks around the reserve. Near the town is some fabulous seashore. The beach road, Marine Avenue, across from the town museum, heads down through sand dunes and golf links to car parks fringing the fine, wide beach overlooked by a slender white lighthouse. Further to the north are the cliffs of St. Cyrus, home in the summer to a bustling colony of seabirds. Neighbouring Ferryden is a picturesque former village situated on the south side of the river South Esk. It is separated by the river but linked by a bridge. There is a popular Farmers Market held in the town on the first Saturday of every month attracting a veriety of stallholders. The local Swimming Pool is a 10 minute walk from our caravan with the city centre a 15 minute walk. Several golf courses and Montrose Air Museum is nearby. Within walking distance to the local bus and train station giving you easy access to explore the beautiful east coast of Scotland with it's numerous golf courses and beautiful beaches. Hand and dish towels are provided but please bring your own bath towels. Toilet paper, soap, shower gel, shampoo and all bedding is provided.
