Self Catering Chalet Slievyre Game Farm, Estcourt

Set in the beautiful bushveld of the Natal Midlands, 10kms from Estcourt and the N3 Kudu consists of a double storey stone and thatch chalet, a stone and thatch rondavel (Wildebeest) & a large open plan thatched lapa which serves as the kitchen/dining and living area. Within Kudu, downstairs there is a queen sized bed and a single bed, upstairs there are 6 single beds in an open plan style The rondavel (Wildebeest)  has a double size bed with an ensuite shower room Slievyre - A private nature reserve provides the perfect place for family reunions, quiet holidays, romantic getaways or just an overnight stop. Slievyre extends to 2 000ha (5000 acres) and is classified as bushveld. Whilst out walking or driving on the farm, animals you will encounter include Giraffe, Eland, Kudu, Waterbuck, Zebra, Wildebeest & numerous smaller antelope. The farm is also home to more than 200 species of birds. All residential guests are welcome to fish free of charge, just bring your tackle! All guests are welcome to join us for a game drive or sundowner. It includes a game drive of approximately 1.5 hours (depending on animal sightings) followed by a full breakfast at our picnic site cooked by Sarah and Ellah (Ellah’s scrambled eggs are amazing, they have to be eaten to be believed!!).
