'Water's Edge' at The Coastal Park

Delightful chalet overlooking a lake and 3 minutes walk from the beach at Sheerness on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent. An adult only, longstay only option for max 2 people. Available from March 2nd 2022 to end December 2022. Delightful chalet overlooking a lake and coastal park and 3 minutes walk from the beach at Sheerness on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent. An adult only, longstay only option for max 2 people. Fully equipped for a self catering stay. Accommodates up to 2 people on a self catering basis. This is an adult only, longstay accommodation for people who are perhaps coming to work temporarily on the Island. The chalet has 2 bedrooms - one with a double bed and one with a single bed. The single bedroom has a patio door leading to an outside seating area and directly overlooks the lake. The chalet has a comfortable lounge and an open plan fully equipped kitchen/dining area and there is a spacious bathroom with shower. Please note we do not have Wifi or TV but there are books and boardgames. The private patio has seats, shade sail and BBQ. The chalet is situated in a private club amid pleasant gardens lake. There is a free carpark on site and guests will be able to park very closeby. Please note this is a very quiet, residential club and we ask guests to respect the peace and privacy of our neighbours at all times. The town of Sheerness is a 15 minute walk away. Bartons Point Coastal Park is 5 minutes walk. The beach runs for several miles in either direction and has a coastal path so is goes on for quite a few miles and is popular with walkers,joggers and cyclists. There is a windsurfing school nearby and also a leisure centre with swimming pools etc. Sheppey is well known for windsurfing, sailing fishing ,bird watching, hiking, cycling and camping as well as the usual seaside activities. It's an area of natural beauty and certainly a 'back to nature' location. Miles of beaches around the island - both sand and pebble - and also a lovely naturist beach at Shellness. The island has good transport links - trains, buses and coaches but having a car will allow you to tour the island and also to use the chalet as a base from which to tour the County of Kent. Easy access to A2 motorway. 50 minutes to Dover. 50 minutes to London. Nearest airports are Manston, Gatwick or Stanstead. The chalet is a strictly no smoking property. Well behaved, non moulting pets are welcome but please ask in advance because we make an extra charge. Please also note that pets may not be left alone in the chalet and must remain with their guest-owners at all time. I welcome all my guests on arrival to show them around the property and the site and I look forward to welcoming you . The entire property, private patio, surrounding gardens, carpark, lake and coastal park. The beach is a 3 minute walk away. Guests are met on arrival at the chalet. There is a guest book and lots of leaflets about where to go and what to do in Sheppey and the County of Kent The chalet is situated in the Barton's Point Coastal Park between Sheerness Town and Minster Leas. The island is a quiet, back to nature place which is mostly beach and farmland. The main town is Sheerness and Minster, Eastchurch and Leysdown are villages. A lovely place to unwind and relax, walk, cycle, swim and enjoy the beach. It is a unique space with a home from home atmosphere and delighful surroundings. Great place to come if you have a dog because they are allowed almost everywhere and you can walk endlessly. It's also a good place from which to explore other places in Kent and not so far from London (45 minutes to an hour by car). It's definitely better to have a car because then you have more freedom to travel around the island and to other parts of Kent/London etc. but there is a bus service around the island and a train service which connects to Sittingbourne and then on to London or other main locations. There are also coach services. There is a private club on site which guests may use with a temporary member's card. Please ask me for details.
