Casa Madeira “Designed in 1967 by Karl Niess Casa Madeira reflects the classic architecture of mid-century modernism. A mix of natural materials and manmade ones, coupled with technical innovation makes this one-floor building the perfect surrounding whether you want to escape your daily busy life for some yoga and quietness or spend your vacation with family and friends at the famous “Romantic Road”. *Corona update: We are blocking off a day before and after each reservation for the safety of our cleaning crew and guests and to give extra time to deep clean. The space offers 112 sqm and has a nice south-west facing veranda looking over a small garden with couples of fruit trees - over which you can access the house barrier free. The front consists of 30 windows that open outwards. The entire concept of the building is to use natural light all day long. Wake up with the sun as we do not offer shades. The 2 bedrooms have king size beds and built in closets. All linen are provided. We can also provide a height adjustable baby bed and a high chair. The bathroom has a tub with a rain shower system and gets natural light from a big skylight window. The open floor living area offers a great view over the valley and access to the veranda. Relax in the living room with a good book or sit by the window and enjoy a beautiful sunrise with a cup of coffee. The dining area fits up to 10 people and has a vintage fireplace to get you cozy. The fully equipped kitchen with access to the backyard patio allows you to cook for your guests, friends or family. You’ll find tableware, a stove, a microwave, a dishwasher, a fridge (no freezer), a Bialetti espresso maker and a milk frother for your convenience. If wished, we can also offer a Nespresso machine. We’ll have local coffee from a small roastery ready for you to try. Casa Madeira showcases a carefully selected range of products and creations by local artisans. Where possible, we use sustainable and eco-friendly products; We have two yoga mats ready for you, if you’re traveling with light luggage. Smoking is allowed outside. We have one car driveway parking and a few street parking spots right in front of the house. Placed in between Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Dinkelsbühl it is the perfect place to explore the most beautiful medieval cities in Germany. Take a day tour to the Franconian lakes or go hiking in the recreation region around the Hesselberg. Enjoy local food, go for a wine tasting or explore the German craftsmanship of beer brewing. Franconia has more than 260 breweries - many of them can be visited. Feuchtwangen - Franconian Identity Take a walk through the medieval centre of Feuchtwangen and visit the Franconian museum. The historic character of the town is also evident in the market square, the Romanesque cloister (setting for the annual Cloister Theatre Festival) and the abbey church. If you’re satiated with culture and romance go spend your evening in the futuristically designed Bavarian casino - only 12 min drive away.
