Quinta da Ponte is located in Barca d'Alva, a Portuguese village on the banks of the Douro River on its border with Spain. Its location allows you to enjoy wonderful views over the river and walk among olive and orange trees. It is an ideal accommodation for rest and relaxation, walking around, hiking or reading under an orange tree. It consists of two apartments, which can be rented together or separately. Apartment 1 has two double rooms with independent bathrooms, a living room, kitchen and a gallery overlooking the Douro. It has a barbecue and common pool for the enjoyment of the guests and also, at a short distance from the house there is a swimming area on the river beach of the Águeda river. We especially recommend not to miss the spectacle of the almond blossom and the arrival of spring, at the end of February, approximately, when the Almond Festival is celebrated. In addition, you will be pleasantly surprised to find that in this area there are orange trees that provide their fruit throughout the year.
