Nelsons Retreat is tucked away down a quiet lane, it is south facing with wonderful rural views across the valley and an immaculate garden which has mature trees and shrubs and paths that wind through them, decked ares, sun loungers and seating at sporadic points where you can bask in the sun or relax in the dappled shade. The house itself has a decked balcony outside the sun room with a canopy glass ceiling and sliding doors which open out onto the balcony. Inside is a large open plan living area with electric reclining chairs (complete with USB charging sockets) large TV and a galley kitchen. There are two bedrooms and the master has fantastic views and French windows that open onto another large patio. The second bedroom has a zip and link bed which can be made up into a double or a twin for total flexibility. Nelsons Retreat is dog friendly and you are welcome to bring your well behaved family pet. Lanner is nestled in the heart of Cornwall's Tin Mining area with the archetypal derelict engine houses scattered around the tops of heather strewn hills. This is a fabulous central location with easy access to the lifeguard patrolled golden beaches (during the season) of Porthtowan, Portreath and St Agnes a short drive away on the north coast, while on the south coast you can explore Mounts Bay, the rugged Lizard peninsula with it's quaint fishing villages, magnificent promontories and secluded coves, the vibrant fishing harbour of Falmouth with restaurants and traditional pubs or the bustling cathedral city, and capital of Cornwall, Truro. There is sure to be plenty of things to do come rain or shine and Nelsons Retreat will be that perfect base for your wonderful holiday. Accommodation Ground floor: The front door leads into the open plan living area. dining table and chairs, comfortable sofas and electric reclining chairs with USB charging points built in, galley kitchen with fully fitted units and a selection of appliances. Sun room with glass ceiling and lovely Rattan furniture including a large day bed and sofa, sliding doors open onto the decked balcony. To the rear of the property is a Zip and link twin bedroom with 3' beds that can be made into a 6' double as an option. Family bathroom with bath, separate shower, WC and hand basin. Stairs leading to: First Floor: Master bedroom with 5' double bed, storage, double aspect with window to the side elevation and looks over a neighbouring orchard, French windows that open onto a large balcony terrace, en suite shower room with WC and hand basin. Exterior: Parking for 3 cars to the front of the property. The garden is stunning and is an adventure in itself, paths lead round mature shrubs and trees with areas laid to lawn, a summer house, seating in many different areas including benches, sun loungers, chairs and tables. Facilities & Services The property has gas central heating with radiators throughout. The kitchen is fully fitted with a range of units. There is an gas oven and gas hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle and under counter fridge & separate freezer. There is a washing machine and tumble drier. The lounge area has a flat screen digital Freeview Smart TV with catch up apps, a DVD player, CD & Radio. There is an iron & ironing board. There is unlimited WiFi available at the property. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels are all included but you will need to bring your own beach towels. One well behaved dog is welcome at Nelsons Retreat for the small additional price of £30 per week but must not be left unattended in the property. We regret no smoking is permitted inside the property. There is off road parking for 3 cars. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally a Friday. Short breaks are available during the quieter months of the year. £250 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
