The house is situated within one of the most beautiful and traditional villages of Paros, Marpissa. It is 120 sqm and was re-built in 2000. It was the house of our great grand-father from 1919 till 1957 and since we inherited back in 1999, we decided to re-built it. We renovated and painted it in the Summer of 2017. It is 10 meters away from the central square of the village and close to iconic places of the village such as the sculpture museum of Nikos Perantinos. It is 1.7 km from Logaras beach, 2.4 km from Molos beach and 15 km from Paroikia (port). There is plenty public free parking around and a bus station in 2’ walking distance. The house has a ground floor and 2 upper floors with a bathroom in all of them. The ground floor consists of the living room, a wide kitchen, a bathroom with bathtub and double sofa-bed. First floor has an air-conditioned room with two single beds and separate closets. There is a third single bed just outside the room with each own closet. There is a bathroom with a wash-bin and a toilet. Second floor is the master bedroom with a double bed and two sets of closets. There is a ceiling fan that keeps the floor cool. There is also a bathroom with toilet, wash-bin and a shower. A big balcony with a beautiful view of the hill, where St Antonios monastery is situated at the top, and a view of the sea on the other side is the perfect place to relax. Two nice outside areas on the ground floor and the second floor, where you can sit and enjoy breakfast, have a barbeque or chill at night, create an ideal combination for the perfect vacation. All floors are equipped with television (32’’ in the living room and 22’’ on the other floors) and speakers from an audio system. Kitchen is equipped with big refrigerator and freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, dining table, an oven, kitchen stove, a microwave oven, a toaster and a kettle. Marpissa is a beautiful traditional village protected by UNESCO. Its small alleys and secret passages, together with the great Cycladic architecture of the houses, astonish every visitor. Inside the village you can find places to eat or have a coffee, while on the main road around the village you can find super markets, butcher shops, bakeries, confectioneries, taverns and coffee shops, only 2’ walking distance from the house. A folklore museum, the sculpture museum of Nikos Perantinos, houses of the 16th and 17th century and byzantine style built churches conclude the great picture of this beautiful village. Close by you can find restaurants and bars at Logaras and Piso Livadi or you can enjoy a great view at the St Antonios monastery. The village hosts every year a great festival at the end of August, where culture, music and tradition compose a three-day celebration around the village. This year the volunteer team of “Routes in Marpissa” organizes the 8th three-day, experiential, and cultural festival on 25, 26 & 27 August. More information you can find here: Furthermore, traditional fests take place from time to time at the central square of the village. On the Orthodox Easter, Marpissa hosts great representation of the passion of Christ and create a large fest open for everyone on the Easter Sunday.
