A luxuriously appointed & sparkling clean suite with kitchen in the premier Cotswold village of Lower Slaughter. The large ensuite bedroom has the most comfortable kingsize bed imaginable. Downstairs you’ll find a well equipped kitchen with an oven/grill, microwave, ceramic hob, breakfast bar, table and chairs. You can relax with a long soak in the double-ended cast-iron roll-top bath or enjoy the large Grohe rain shower. Come and unwind here and explore the Cotswolds. We’d love to host you. The Slaughters (Upper & Lower) have been voted the UK’s prettiest village in The Times Nov (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) list of the top 30 UK villages. You can expect to find beautiful crisp white bedding and extra large fluffy towels. There’s a TV, a kettle and a Nespresso machine in your room to help you feel at home. There’s a table and chairs in my front garden for your use if you’d like to enjoy coffee or brunch in the sunshine, watching the world go by. Lower Slaughter is a very quiet and peaceful place to spend time. The only sound is usually the bird song. Please note: I might need access to your kitchen during your stay to use the shared laundry facilities, but I will only do this while you're out exploring. Also please note that your kitchen backs on to my kitchen. There is a firedoor between them, but as the floors are stone some sound will travel. We usually have the radio on in ours when we're home and there is a radio and a (Hidden by Airbnb) Home in yours, so hopefully this will help you feel relaxed and at home. We have 2 children who are usually quiet except for the odd accident. You won't hear them upstairs, as that is completely detached from our house, but you might very occasionally hear them in your kitchen or if they're out playing in the garden. If you have any questions at all then please do send me a message. We have a gated driveway with space for your car. There is a path along the side of the house which leads to your door. Once inside you will be in your kitchen/breakfast bar area. Up one flight of stairs is your private suite and bathroom. I will be living in the adjoining property, so I’ll be available if you need me. Lower Slaughter is a quintessential English village in the heart of the Cotswolds and just 1 mile countryside walk from Bourton on the Water. There is Slaughters Manor with a beautiful restaurant, afternoon tea room and gin bar; and Slaughters Country Inn with another lovely restaurant and pub garden, all within a 5 minute walk. There are lots of nearby country walks and Bourton on the Water is only 1 mile away where there are many other cafes and restaurants to choose from. You’ll need a car to get around the area. There are plenty of good walking routes nearby so don’t forget to pack your walking boots/wellies! We have 2 large umbrellas available for your use and torches for evening strolls. Travelling by Train: If you’re not driving here and planning to come by train to Kingham or Morton in Marsh, then you’ll need to book a taxi in advance as they tend to get booked up. We’re a 15 min taxi ride from both stations.
