Ideal for couples or families with up to two extra sofa beds. There is a big inglenook fireplace and original spiral stairs, leading to the main bedroom with massive handbuilt hypnos bed. On the 3rd floor is a shower and spa bath with a view across the countryside and down to your bedroom below and the lounge below that! Yes, it’s a DOUBLE mezzanine! Quiet unique and never seen before in any other barn conversion . You are next door to a hotel for quality, good value food and drinks served by our very friendly staff. An enclosed garden laid to lawn with water feature and trees. A reserved parking space. Breakfast available in the main hotel at a small extra cost ( eg £7 for a full English) and can be brought to your cottage. You will have the whole cottage to yourselves, but in addition can share in whatever is happening in the hotel and clubhouse. You are "members" during your stay so can go to the bar, restaurant or coffee shop for discounted food and drink. The cottage is semi-detached from its sister cottage (Salt cottage) next door but the walls are about 2 feet thick, so no noise transfer. Free car park space right outside. Garden with lawn, patio with table and chairs and water feature. You may see neighbours in their garden I live 2 miles away but there are lots of staff around to help you with anything you may need during your stay in Derbyshire. Breakfast can be had in our clubhouse restaurant on the Terrace OR brought to your cottage (eg extra cost for full English breakfast £7 pp) A car is vital round here as the roads are narrow and buses don't come near. Walks can be had across the golf course (take care of golfers) to local pubs and villages. The village of Horsley (1/2 mile away) has a great pub and Little Eaton has a number of coffee shops and restaurants. The shops of Nottingham and Derby are a short drive away. The cottage is not on a bus route, but within easy reach of the M1 and A38. Next door is a golf course and driving range which provides a beautiful backdrop for a view. (Bring your clubs if you're a golfer) Built around 1700 Set over 3 amazing floors as you enter through the private porch, it comprises of lounge and small kitchen with microwave and espresso coffee machine. There is a magnificent inglenook fireplace in this room with original grate (just for show , please don't try to light it). Another feature is the amazing 20ft high window with views over the golf course and woods. pull the shutters together for a more cosy feel. The sofas can be made up to form the extra beds if required. Wind your way up the spiral staircase to find on the first floor is a magnificent master bedroom with superking Hypnos giant wooden bed, flat TV, wardrobe, and en-suite toilet and wasbasin. There's even a telescope for looking at the stars through the giant window on the mezannine balcony. Go up a further floor to find yet another mezannine level with the Spa bath, shower wet room.
