An ideal base from which to explore the location offers easy access to Southwold & Dunwich & the historic cathedral city of Norwich is less than twenty miles away On entering the property through the front door into the lounge area which has a reclining leather sofa, a two-seater sofa, a TV with Freeview, and a wood burner perfect for cosy nights in. The modern open-plan kitchen/diner area is off the lounge is well equipped and includes an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer & dishwasher. The dining area has a TV and is set in front of the bi-fold doors, so on a warm day open them up and enjoy a lovely meal with a summer breeze filtering through. There is also a separate downstairs WC. The first floor has a king-size bedroom a single bedroom along with the family bathroom with shower over bath and WC and the second floor has a king-size bedroom. Please note stairs up to the top floor bedroom are steep & narrow. Outside there is an enclosed gravel courtyard area which includes a charcoal BBQ. For cyclists there is bike storage available in the courtyard. A washing machine is available in the outbuilding. There is time limited on-street parking on a first come first serve basis and there is also pay and display parking next to the property and another a short walk away, approx. £4 a day. Sorry no children under 10 years of age. 1 small well behaved adult dog considered for a small additional charge of £15. Breed & age needs to be provided prior to booking. We ask that pets are not allowed on the furniture or upstairs or left alone in the cottage. Keys will be available from the coded wall safe, full details sent prior to arrival. The Fisher Theatre is another draw for visitors and locals alike. This nineteenth century theatre is one of the oldest provincial theatres in the United Kingdom. Here you can enjoy a broad range of programmes and events. As expected with the Waveney Valley area, Bungay has a great mixture of walking and cycling routes – for the more experienced rambler try the Bigod’s Way (approximately 10 miles). This charming route will take you through many areas of outstanding natural beauty, with the castle being the beginning focal point. Buses run to Beccles, Southwold & Norwich.
