The house was built in 1930 and was upgraded in 2014-2017 to accommodate 16 guests. There is plenty of room for everyone! Attention: The ski resort is not able to help with transportation. Within Oslos only proper ski resort, there is one house: This house. In the winter you may ski in and ski out, and in the summer you can drive down town in 20 minutes by car. This is the ultimate vacation home in Oslo, Norway. Close to Holmenkollen Ski Jump and Frognerseteren, Norway's no.1 recreational area. A bathroom with two showers, double wash basin, sauna for six (winter only) and two separate toilet rooms in addition to a large living room and a fully equipped kitchen make a it a perfect backdrop for a comfortable stay in Oslo, either your are chasing tourist attractions, ski slopes or shopping. Our log house is located a few hundred yards beyond the city perimeter, and while it's a completely different world compared to the hustle- and bustle of the capital's down town, you can still change your mind and be back in the shopping streets and night clubs in 20 minutes. This property is not wheel chair accessible, and special arrangements might be necessary for elderly guests and/or guests with hip, knee or back problems. Please contact us before you book if you are uncertain. We will off course do everything we can to accommodate you, but we need to know when or before you book. The entire property is available. Four ski lift passes are included in the rent. Additional passes can be purchased online or in the kiosk. When there is no snow (Usually May through November) there are eight to ten parking spaces on the property. In the winter you may park for free on either of the winter park parking lots. Please observe: The sauna will NOT be available for bachelor parties, bachelorette parties or stag nights. The sauna is available in the winter only. Ski resort, Norways best golf course, open farm, fresh water swimming. This is Norway in a nut shell. The property is located in a scenic and attractive area in Sørkedalen in Oslo municipality. (Also known as “the village in the city”), on a 3.3 acres (1,4 ha, 14 mål) piece of land with forest trees and fantastic views of the valley. The area is characterized by beautiful scenery and large open-air areas which offers good recreational activities all year round. There are several lakes, fantastic hiking trails and ski slopes (both apine and cross-country tracks) within close range. Oslo Winter Park has 14 slopes and 7 effective lifts, the biggest has six-seats benches. The longest slope is 1400 meters long. The resort has a fall height of 381 meters and has its own area for children and inexperienced, one large terrain park with halfpipe of international standard, as well as challenging slopes, x-cross loop type and cruising slopes. All slopes are lit at night and open for night skiing. The winter season is from December to April, depending of the weather and temperatures. Bogstadvannet lake is nearby, and in the summers the lake is a popular destination for swimmers and families with children. In the winter the lake freezes over, and it is a good place to practice cross-country skiing or try out ice skating. Bogstad farm has a café and runs a series of cultural activities, art exhibitions and farm experiences. Bogstad also has an attractive golf course. (The best know and most renown in Norway). You can walk to Bogstad farm through the forest gravel road. It takes around 30 minutes. Holmenkollen Park Hotel offers a fitness center, spa and swimming pool. The house is approx. 20 min from Oslo city center by car or taxi (apx 400nok). There is a bus service to Wyller, and if you arrive by bus, a 20 minute's walk will take you to the doorstep. The property has five parking spaces that are available when there is no snow. (Usually from May to November included). In the winter, the house is easily accessible on skis, and parking on (or bus to) mt.Tryvann is recommended on your arrival day. If you arrive at Tryvann with skis, you will not need a ski lift pass on your arrival day. In the snow season (from December to April), the house is available by foot or by skis. You will need to park either at "Wyller nedre" or at "Tryvann" and ski or walk to the house. On foot, "Wyller nedre" is the better option. On skis, "Tryvann" is the better option. Both "Wyller nedre" and "Tryvann" are available by car, taxi, bus/subway all year. Please ask for you best option, as is depends on a a few things, including your skiing skills. The rest of the year (From May to November), the house is accessible by car, taxi, and subway/bus, and there are five parking spaces on the property. We will meet you at a designated meeting point when you arrive. Please note that in the snow season (December-April), you will need to access the house by skis or by foot or ski lift. If you arrive by foot, there is a 10 minutes walk uphill. If you arrive by skis, you may use the ski lifts for easy access. In the snow season, rucksacks are recommended over suitcases. The ski resort's personell are not able to assist you with transportation. Neither goods nor persons. Please do not ask them for their help. You may use the ski lift during the opening hours and you may walk up in 10 minutes, even if there is a lot of snow. In the summer there is a 60 seconds walk uphill from the parking spaces.
