Lovely Self Contained Detached Annexe in Alderholt

Little Glen is a detached private annexe set in the eaves, situated within the grounds of the owners property, along the boundary of a private track in the village of Alderholt. The annexe comfortably sleeps two adults and can easily accommodate a child/teenager on a sofa-bed. A great place for exploring The New Forest and the coast... The annexe has plenty of standing headroom, an open plan living room incorporating a kitchenette – single oven /hob /microwave /fridge /freezer box /kettle /toaster/ crockery and a small dining area. There is a pull out sofa bed within the lounge area (which would be suitable for 1 child/teenager). If you require the sofa bed to be set up you must inform us prior to your arrival and there is an additional charge for this... A 32” television with free wifi access to the usual channels, BBC IPlayer, Now TV Off the lounge area is a very comfortable bedroom with king size bed, all bedding is hypo-allergenic. There is an adjoining en-suite shower room with enclosed shower – towels are provided for guests. In the entrance hallway there is a cupboard housing a washing machine / dryer and hanging wardrobe space. Approx room sizes : Kitchen / Dining / Lounge 16ft x 15ft - Bedroom 9ft x 11ft - Bathroom 7ft x 7ft - there is restricted headroom in places... Outside you have your own private parking area just off off the track and a small private garden with patio furniture and your own front door to come and go as you please.... Please note : In reference to small children/infants - this property has a staircase up to the first floor and a stair guard is provided, but, fitting this is the responsibility of parents/guardians. We are happy for infants to stay, but, you would need to provide a travel cot / bedding for them . They would need to be supervised at all times outside. Bike storage may be possible at the discretion of the host and only with prior approval... Alderholt is a village in the East Dorset district, but, is situated very near the Hampshire border. There is a pub within 2 minutes walk and a small convenience store for the essentials. There is 8 acre piece of land adjacent to our property and after 10 years of having planning permission, builders have cleared the site for houses too be build - but, due to the covid-19 pandemic there is no set start date. I live here with my family, we like to leave guests alone, but, should you need anything, please just knock on our door... The cathedral city of Salisbury and the towns of Fordingbridge, Ringwood and Wimborne are not far away. There are many lovely walks and cycle rides nearby. We are located within close proximity to The New Forest. Slightly further a field (25 minutes) you have Bournemouth town and beaches - Hengisbury Head / Highcliffe Castle / Mudeford are our favourites :-) Covid – 19 Advice , I’d like to reassure my guests that I have a very high standard of cleanliness. All surfaces, the bathroom and kitchen including the cupboard handles, door handles, window furniture, light switches, sanitary wear, hand rails, tv remote controls, floors, the key lock box and door key are all cleaned with disinfectant... The bedding and towels are washed at 60 degrees. You have your own parking, small garden area, it’s self check in so you don’t have to have any contact with me, but, I am here if you need anything... Due to Covid-19 I will not be leaving any food / drink for my guests (really sorry). I think most guests would feel more comfortable bringing their own anyway. There will be a selection of teabags and coffee’s, there will be no breakfast items that maybe seen in photo’s. There are facilities for cooking and there is alot of take-way options in the area - a pub and co-op within walking distance. I have set the booking calendar to a minimum of 4 nights stay and for the annexe to be empty for 24 hours between guests, simply to minimise the ‘turn-over’ of guests staying and ensuring there is a break between arrivals and departures....
