Chalfont St GIles is a picturesque village in the Chilterns with essential ammenities, grocery store, deli, and restaurants. The nearby towns of Amersham, Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield all offer interesting places for coffee, brunch, lunch, cocktails and dinner. There are many walking and cycling routes accessible without transport. Chalfont St GIles is well served by train lines into London. The London Underground, Metropolitan Line to Aylesbury stops just 10 minutes drive from the house. The Chiltern line at Gerrards Cross, (also a 10 minute drive from the house), offers a 20 minute service into London and also has routes to Oxford, Birmingham and Stratford. Public transport direct from the house is not great, so a car is necessary. The area has fast and easy access to the M25 and M40 motorways.
