Villa Farm Cottage is a fully restored C18th Lincolnshire Cottage. It retains all period features, the house retains the best of both tradional and modern designs. The garden is designed to include outdoor eating areas, clipped yew and privet hedging and an fruit Orchard. The house and grounds are surrounded by farm land and pasture. Thornton Curtis is lying convenient to Humberside airport, Humber Bridge and the M180. A great location for North Lincolnshire and the East Riding. We have 2 rooms to offer, 1 of them is a suite with their own living/dining room areas, fridge and microwave. The room has a separate bedroom and en suite bathroom. Our 2nd room has an private bathroom across the corridor. Guests can take their breakfast in their own room, were a continental and full English will be served. The guests from the upstairs room can take their breakfast in the dining room which is also private to them. The suite has a log burner and this room is located on the ground floor. The other room is on the first floor which is only accessible via stairs. Ground room is the Cottage suite, upstairs room is the Wold room. We are living on the premises, so we are available throughout your stay and a very happy to assist you with information if needed. Our mobile numbers are available in the rooms if you should need us. We are close to the Humber Bridge, a 2.22-kilometre single-span road suspension bridge, which opened to traffic on 24 June 1981. A 15 minute walk from the Cottage will bring you to Thornton Abbey, an enormous and ornate fortified gatehouse where Henry VIII stayed with Katherin Howard in 1541. When staying at the cottage it is advisable to have your own transport. There is a small train station, 10 minutes walk from the Cottage, which will bring you to Barton upon Humber or Cleethorpes. Humberside airport is 7 miles away and you can find shopping centres in Hull, Grimsby and Scunthorpe.
