Chalet de la Falaise ( Cliff Cottage )

Chalet de la Falaise translates to Cliff Cottage. Its an adorable detached Cottage situated 5 minutes away from the beautiful Medieval town of Domfront. I fell in love with this cottage at first sight and have renovated it to a high standard over the last year. The cottage is looked after by my dear friends Steve and Jean Fawcett who live just over the road. Domfront is a stunning town with an assortment of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. The castle ruins are a must to explore. You have full use of the house and outside space, which includes a stone built BBQ, decked area with table and chairs and sun loungers. Off road parking availabe at the side of the cottage. The stairs leading to the bedrooms are quite steep as in most traditonal French houses. Guests have full use of the whole house and outside space. Steve and Jean will be available throughout your stay to assist with any questions or needs you have. Domfront is a stunning medeival town with supermarkets,shops, Boulangerie's, make the most amazing pastries and fresh bread. There are also Bars, Restaurants and Cafe's. The Château de Domfront is a ruined castle in the town of Domfront. The Château de Domfront has been protected as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture since 1875. There are a number of Geocache's in the local area for you to hunt and find. There is also a lovely converted former railway line ideal for cycling and walking called The Veloscenic cycle route that runs from Paris to Mont St Michel. Train – The nearest train station is at Flers from where the main SNCF train network can be accessed. TGV services run from Laval. Flights – The nearest airports are at Rennes and Dinard. By Car - The ferry ports of Caen 103 km 1 ½ hrs, St Malo 120 km 1 hr 40 and Cherbourg 160 km 2 hrs are within easy reach. It is a 4 ½ hr 422 km drive from Calais. I do accept small, well behaved pets but do request that pets do not go upstairs and are kept off the furniture please. Many thanks.
