The Apple Store is a beautiful and meticulously clean converted agricultural building that sits in the lovely gardens of a 16th Century house. Perfect for a staycation and set in a peaceful, rural location, the property is approximately 1.5 miles from Marden village and .75 mile from Hush Heath vineyard. Ideal for visits to local National Trust and RHS properties like Sissinghurst Castle, Leeds Castle and Great Dixter. Trains from Marden station to London run all day and take less than an hour. The Apple store is a self-contained single-story unit that was converted to from a utility building in 2017/18. Redesigned by an architect, the Apple Store Is clad in black wooden weatherboarding to match the local architectural style and has been decorated and furnished to a high standard. It consists of a double-bed room with ensuite bathroom (shower), a small hallway and open plan living room with a hand-made well-equipped kitchen (oven/hob/fridge -freezer/dishwasher/microwave/Nespresso maker etc). The kitchen is stocked with an initial breakfast. In the living room there is a dining table and also a large sofa and a smart TV/DVD Player including various apps such as iPlayer, Netflix and Amazon TV . The Apple Store is approximately 35 metres squared and sits on the same property as a 16th Century timber framed house occupied by the owner and family. It has its own private, secluded courtyard behind its own dedicated private gates which also provides space to park a car and access to the quiet country lane. The courtyard has an outdoor dining table, parasol and BBQ. It is perfect, cosy retreat for anyone looking for a stay-cation or to get away and make the most of what Kent, the Garden of England, has to offer. The Apple Store is fully self contained and there are no areas that need to be shared. It has its own courtyard including a parking space and outdoor eating area. The garden belonging to the main house is not available for guests to use. We like to respect our guests privacy however I am available on my mobile if you need anything and I am happy to help. The Weald of Kent is an area of outstanding natural beauty and there are some wonderful walks and cycle rides in and around The Apple Store. We are 1.5 miles outside of the village of Marden where you can find two local pubs, a small farm shop, cafe, pharmacy and 3 convenience stores. It is also home to the Green Door, a mini day spa for men and women. Located just 10 minutes away is Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest, a recreational and conservational arboretum which offers further cycling and walking trails, cycle hire, Go Ape, outdoor theatre in the summer months and a wonderful cafe. We also have a number of award winning vineyards and micro-distilleries in and around Marden including Hush Heath, Herbert Hall, Turners Cider, Anno Distillers. For a relaxing coffee we love to visit Frankie's Farmshop and nursery, and there are a host of wonderful pubs and restaurants in nearby villages offering everything from traditional pub food to Michelin star cuisine. Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens is a 10 minute drive. The old market town of Cranbrook is also 10 minutes away. The spectacular, moated Leeds Castle is about 20 minutes. Tunbridge Wells, a Georgian Spa town is approx. 25 minutes dive and has a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Historic Rye and the neighbouring beaches of Camber Sands and Winchelsea are about 40 minutes. Marden station, a 5 minute drive or a lovely 25 minute walk has frequent trains to London, Ashford International, Canterbury and Dover. Trains to London take 58 minutes. - We have always, as our guests have testified, kept The Apple Store meticulously clean as a matter or principal, and are taking extra steps to clean and disinfect the accommodation in accordance with airbnb's guidelines. - We offer an initial breakfast for guests. - The Wifi is shared with the main house. The property is in a semi-rural location and as such Wifi connections can vary in strength.
