This custom designed and handcrafted studio loft, set on the edge of the Ashdown Forest and within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), offers a unique timber-panelled interior full of functional features. The loft is located independently from the main house and accessed via an external staircase, at the top of which is a private outside seating area. The inside living space is a bright and airy studio with a double-height ceiling and views of the surrounding countryside. There is a double bed and two comfortable chairs making for a cosy evening space. Integrated within the timber panelling is plenty of wardrobe space, a dining table and light, and a television, as well as sliding doors leading to the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and has an induction hob, microwave/combination oven and fridge. The bathroom contains a shower and all towels are provided. Our garden is used by our friendly dog, cat, and four hens (no noisy cockerels!) who will supply fresh eggs for your stay. Parking is provided on a drive shared with our house. We live in Browhill Cottage which is down the garden path from the loft and we are here most of the time for anything you might need during your stay. With miles of footpaths starting from the doorstep, the loft is the perfect place for a country holiday. The Ashdown Forest is the home of Winnie-the-Pooh and is a beautiful place to explore. The award-winning Coach and Horses pub is a stumble up the lane, with other pubs nearby. Only a short drive away are the South Downs National Park, Brighton, the historic town of Lewes, the Bluebell Steam Railway, and several National Trust properties. The rural location ideally requires a car, but the local bus stops at the end of lane and connects to Haywards Heath railway station (20 minutes), East Grinstead railway station (20 minutes), and directly to Brighton (approx 1 hour). (Brighton is 30 mins by car and 12 minutes by train from Haywards Heath).
