Ideally situated for the Warner Bros. (Harry Potter Tour) Studio, as well as Elstree, Bovingdon and Langleybury film studios, our self-contained annex offers a country location with easy access to the M25/M1 (2 miles), mainline railway station (2 miles) for London and the North. Watford and Hemel Hempstead each 5 miles. The characterful accommodation at Crownhill has now been enlarged and enhanced to provide even more comprehensive accommodation for a fully self-contained stay! It has its own entrance into a newly appointed leisure room with fully equipped kitchen (comprising integrated oven, fridge, induction hob, dishwasher, washer-dryer and sink). There’s comfortable seating with a 43" flat screen tv, soundbar and subwoofer. The spacious garden room has sofas and a dining area including table and chairs, a mini-fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave, Nespresso machine. Spiral stairs lead up to a balcony with double doors opening into the first floor bedroom, which is light and airy. A flat-screen TV/cd/dvd player, free wifi and a writing desk along with tea/coffee making facilities are provided. There’s a comfortable king-sized bed, bedside drawers with table lamps, double wardrobe, long mirror and towel ladder (towels provided). The modern en-suite wetroom, with frosted glass and sliding door, houses the w/c, basin and shower. We have dogs in the main house/garden, so you may hear the occasional bark! It’s just a short walk into the village of Kings Langley where you’ll find a variety of shops and dining/coffee houses. There are plenty of country footpaths and village pubs within the area. With farmland back and front, Crownhill provides a country location yet offers easy access to the M25/M1 (2/5 miles), mainline railway station (2 miles) with services to London and the North and is only 4.5 miles to the Warner Bros. Studio (for The Making of Harry Potter studio tour). The towns of Watford and Hemel Hempstead are each about 5 miles away. Free parking for one car on private driveway at own risk. Everything is on hand for an independent rental, but the main house is occupied should you need assistance or have any queries. Kings Langley is a small village midway between Watford and Hemel Hempstead. Other villages (Chipperfield, Sarratt, Bovingdon etc.) are close by. The historic town of St Albans, with its cathedral, Verulamium Museum, park and quirky shops, is just 8 miles away and certainly worth a visit. There are a wealth of restaurants/pubs locally, either a country walk or a short drive away. And we are, of course, ideally placed for a visit to the Harry Potter studio tour ! Bus routes pass through the village and the local train station is on the main line out of London Euston. M25 & M1 close by. Crownhill offers a unique self-contained accommodation for singles/couples. However, a third guest can be accommodated with the addition of a made-up mattress alongside the double bed at a small additional charge.
