Great local walks from our garden +TENNIS & beautiful quiet surroundings one small- med well behaved pet welcome Please note that there is no actual Kitchen - see belown Pets £25 per pet per stay The Studio is a BED SITTING-ROOM- airy and light It fits a couple comfortably having a king sized bed - chairs and a double sofabed for one extra person ( if used as a bed charge of £25 a one- off charge for use of bedlinen laundry fee etc ) ensuite with loo and shower + cupboard for clothes + hanging rail ironing board etc hairdrier. The Studio is ONE ROOM plus ensuite loo and shower & basin Access is from an outside stone stairway with railings and bannisters The is NO ACTUAL KITCHEN but a fridge microwave & CH TV Free WIFI are provided plus toaster kettle toastie maker and Nespresso All basics in the studio are complimentary - apart from these the Studio is SELF- CATERING The Studio is furnished and decorated to a high standard. Garden furniture provided Tea coffee filter/ nespresso capsules milk etc plus cutlery and glasses/plates are provided The Velux windows have integral blackout blinds. The Studio can accommodate a very small baby ( travelling cot available if necessary) however because of the outside stone staircase please enquire re crawling babies/ toddlers Late opening shops are in Blockley and Chipping Campden both 2-3 miles away There are many country pubs and eateries nearby. The Studio is located at The Walnuts but not attached to to the main house A CAR is strongly advised As well as a small screened grassed area with garden furniture guests have use of the main house front garden Off road parking ( you can park up against the green garage gates as they're not in use ) & Tennis court racquets and balls provided . Beautiful walks easily accessible. The popular Gastro Pub opposite is known for its high standard of cuisine-milk tea coffee and cake etc are provided for our guests free Books of walks and O/S map provided . THE STUDIO IS SELF CHECKIN We welcome one small - medium sized well behaved dog and provide a hose and towels for those wet muddy walks - please enquire if bringing a pet PARKING We would appreciate guests parking to allow maximum use of space in The Walnuts car park - Thank you We hope to meet our guests during their stay. We are usually available to welcome guests and if anything is needed however we always say make yourselves at home The Studio is self contained. The Cotswolds is an outstandingly beautiful rural and special part of the UK countryside 1-2 hours from London by car There are many intriguing places to visit some of historic interest. Other attractions include Cheltenham known for The Race Festival and Stratford on Avon for the theatres. Some guests my just prefer to go on bike rides or walks and visit the huge selection of pubs and eateries and special shopping such as Daylesford 20 mins and Bicester Village one hour. The Cotswolds a limestone escarpment with rolling hills and vales runs from Bath in the south to Stratford on Avon in the north. Included are Oxfordshire Warwickshire Worcestershire Wiltshire but mainly Gloucestershire .The fields and meadows have historically been home to sheep farming and the limestone quarries have produced characteristic the golden limestone used in constructing castles stately homes stone built villages and The Oxford Colleges. More recently the rolling hills also serve as "gallops" & are the home of race stables and courses .The world famous Cheltenham Racecourse is in the centre of the Cotswolds just below its highest( Cleeve) hill 330 m Consider this a base for Cheltenham Gold Cup Festival 35 minutes away At Moreton in Marsh there is a mainline station connecting Paddington London to Oxford Worcester and Hereford. At Oxford Station there is a Hertz car hire agent ( trains from Paddington via Reading and Slough ) At Oxford Parkway Station Taxis can be hired ( trains frequent from Marylebone London) There is a private car hire business a/bout 7 miles from us -Robinson Goss near Shipston on Stour Taxis from Moreton in Marsh to Robinson Goss about £10 ( AAA station taxi hire ) Please note taxis should be booked in advance . A list of taxi contact details is available after a reservation is made IT IS ADVISABLE TO HAVE A CAR in this area TRAINS ... many guests come on the train to Moreton in Marsh from Paddington -1 hr 40 minutes - it’s a pleasant ride going through first the towns then the country villages OXFORD - guests can have a break at Oxford and have a wander round this historic town including the colleges as well as bars shops and restaurants . We can put you in touch with a friend who is extremely knowledgable and who does walking tours of the colleges BLENHEIM PALACE - It’s a shoes drive from Oxford to Blenheim at Woodstock - a most historic and prestigious destination - hard to miss this out!
