Quinta da Longra country house

Quinta da Longra is located in a calm and charming village called Alvarenga. It's near Arouca (a cozy bigger village with an old monastery), in the surroundings of Paiva river, one of the most clean rivers in Europe. Good restaurants, wine and liquors and traditional sweets are some of the gastronomic atractions. Trekking, rafting, kayak and rappel are some of the activities in the surroundings and there are several river beaches to enjoy. Quinta da Longra is 10 minutes driving from "Passadiços do Paiva" (Paiva's walkway), an amazing engineering wood work in the river margins. An awesome suspended bridge (150m above the river) is under way. Quinta da Longra is 70km from Porto airport and 60km from Espinho, a city bathed by the Atlantic ocean, where you can enjoy nice beaches and activities like beach volley and surf. It is also close (30 minute driving) to Douro river, in which hills the vineyards are located and the world famous Porto wine is produced.
