A friendly B&B set on a hillside in the small picturesque Derbyshire village of Stanton in Peak - we have one of the best views in the Peak District and provide a superb breakfast for an extra charge per person. Plenty of countryside, walking, wildlife, and surrounded by some great pubs. Many Peak District attractions near by - including Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House. Private driveway for parking several cars. Village not very accessible by public transport. Chatsworth ensuite room (shower only) is a large bedroom with access to private patio. Having a super king sized (very comfortable) bed / Wardrobe / Drawers / Chairs / Table / TV / Hairdryer / Towels and hot drinks facilities. We can provide a delicious choice for breakfast - charged at £10 per person extra and by pre arrangement please. Please note - there are NO guest cooking facilities and other B&B guests may be here at the same time in the other rooms. Set in a large modern family home - Guests also have full use of the lounge area and dinning room and access to the garden. You have your own front door key to come and go as you please - once you have checked in. Please advise us of the time of arrival - requested after 4pm please. We often chat with our guests and can advise on the local places of interest to visit, pubs and places to eat and as walkers and dog owner - we have plenty of suggestions for walks! Small Peak District Village. Stone built houses and generally very quiet and peaceful. The village pub The Flying Childers serves food at lunchtime only. Other nearest eateries are in the next door village of Birchover - one mile away. Otherwise plenty of choice down in the valley in the local towns. Easy access to Haddon Hall / Chatsworth House / Monsal biking trail / Bakewell, Matlock, Ashbourne and Buxton. You will need a car to discover the best parts of the Peak District. All within easy access and doable in the day. If you are walkers - you can easily leave the car behind and walk straight out from the house, on several circular routes (via pubs for refreshments). Bring hiking boots! There isn't a good public transport to and from village (buses are limited) - so ideally guests do need your their car. We do have a dog called SAM - who is very friendly and loves people - although his greeting can be a bit noisy!
