A welcoming and luxurious top end, brand new, 6 berth, 3 bedroomed lodge, with everything you need for a comfortable coastal getaway! Our lodge is located at Crimdon Dene Holiday Park, in the private owner's area, right on the front and is the best pitch for beautiful panoramic coastal views. Crimdon Dene is on the Durham Heritage Coastline near to Hartlepool and Durham. The lodge has full central heating, double glazing and an inviting flame-effect electric fire, ensuring that it is warm and comfortable in the colder months. As well as the fire, the lounge has a sofa, armchairs, TV and DVD player, and built in Bluetooth speaker system. Adjacent is a spacious dining area with table and chairs for up to 6. The beautiful kitchen makes self-catering easy with a modern, well-equipped kitchen with integrated fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, gas hob and double oven. The washer/tumbler is located in a utility cupboard to the right of the front door which also has space for coats, boots and shoes. The master bedroom comprises of a king-size bed, dressing table, and wardrobe. It has an adjoining en-suite shower room/WC. There are two further bedrooms both with twin full size single beds, dressing table and wardrobe. The main bathroom has a bath, overhead shower and w/c. The owners lived in Durham so have plenty of local knowledge. This is their family holiday home to visit friends. They can be contacted via mobile phone and do have a local housekeeper. The Holiday Park has a staffed reception where you can ask any questions about the lodge or the surrounding area. Crimdon Dene is located on Durham’s Heritage coast, situated between the historic ports of Hartlepool and Seaham. Close to transport hubs and good road and rail networks, you have ready access to the stunning coastline of Northumberland in the north, or the bright lights and shopping meccas of Newcastle upon Tyne and the Gateshead Metro Centre; to the rolling hills of the Pennines National Park in Teesdale to the west; while to the south you have easy access to the North Yorkshire Moors and Dales National Parks. In between you have host of attractions that will appeal to all ages. For those who enjoy the outdoors, there is every opportunity to go walking, sailing, kayaking and surfing, as well as just relaxing on the sandy beaches of Crimdon Dene, or enjoying tea and cakes in the cafes of Seaham. There is lots to entertain children and the adults. These include, The Ice Arena and Go climb at Billingham; The Air Trail and white water rafting at the Tees Barrage; Karting NE at Sunderland and the Beamish Museum to name but a few. For those with an interest in history the Maritime museum at Hartlepool boasts the oldest warship still afloat. There are a few facilities on site owned and managed by Parkdean. Guests can purchase guest passes if they wish to use these facilities (swimming pool, restaurant bar, evening entertainment programme, children's programme, arcades). See reception for details. Wifi is available to purchase through Wifinity, although please note that due to the coastal location, wifi can be intermittent. We are waiting for Parkdean to roll out free site wifi, this has been slightly delayed due to COVID.
