My Home is situated in the quaint semi-rural village of Shepherdswell. We are well located just off the A2 with easy road and rail access to both Canterbury and Dover. So ideal if you just want a place to stopover for the night before heading overseas OR somewhere to use as a base for exploring "The Garden of England". Port of Dover ~15 minutes by car Eurotunnel ~ 25 minutes by car On the North Downs Way too for walkers Note: Two dogs and one cat live in the house. Welcome to my home. A detached house with driveway parking (for one car) and ample on street parking. The double room that is available overlooks the rear of the property so is light and airy for most of the day. Guests will have access to the lounge and garden. These however are all shared common spaces with my family, pets and other guests. I am available as much or as little as you need me. I am available via email or on my mobile for any queries beforehand or whilst you are here staying. Shepherdswell is a semi-rural quaint English village sat on the North Downs Way. We have the following amenities in Shepherdswell: A small co-op supermarket (5 minute walk from my home) Main line train station ( 5 minute walk from my home) ~ Access to Dover/ Folkestone/Ashford/Canterbury & London to name but a few of the stops. A large recreational ground with a children's play park The Bell Inn ~ Local pub (doesn't serve food) The Tipsy Gardener ~ Local pub (doesn't serve food There are some take away food outlets in the neighbouring villages which do offer a delivery service to Shepherdswell East Kent light railway ~ You can take a ride on the train to the neighbouring village of Eythorne. (Some of the locomotives are steam powered) Parking ~ on the driveway or on the street Getting around by car: We are 5 minutes away from the A2 which gives good access to both the M20 and M25 Getting around by train: We are a 5 minute walk away from a main line train station giving access to both Dover and Canterbury. Trains run every half an hour at peak times and every hour at all other times. Timetables are available in the guest welcome pack which is situated on the bedside cabinet.
