Relaxing Scandinavian Chic in Villa Meisala

Traditional Finnish house with a nice garden and plenty of parking. First floor has a kitchen, two living room areas, fireplace, a glass veranda, toilet. A decking area with a table, two chairs & gas grill (fee) in summer. Two bedrooms upstairs and a shower room with toilet. Basement has new sauna area (fee). 5th bed is chair that turns into bed in basement. * Portable Wifi *Entrance is video monitored for guest safety! * For children we have baby bed, high chair, bed, toys &gates for stairs Typical post-war Finnish style house with original, painted wood floors and a fireplace in living room. Decor reflects some famous Finnish design pieces. Large sunny garden with decking for enjoying the weather. In summer there’s gas grill ( small fee to cover the cost of gas). The guests will have the whole living space of the house in their use as well as the decking area and the garden. Please note that there are stairs to access the house as well as rather steep staircase both to bedrooms upstairs and to the basement. I can be contacted via SMS, (Hidden by Airbnb) or email. Pls note the location, I´m not sure why we keep getting 3* for location as we have described it accurately- the house is in Paimio, not Turku. Paimio is about 25 minutes drive from Turku using the motorway and 1h30 from Helsinki-Vantaa airport. The neighbourhood is quiet, yet only 50m away of Paimio´s main street and one can walk to town center in less than 15 minutes - the official center of town is 1,2km away on foot (Matkahuolto) and about 2km to the traffic lights at the bottom of the hill. The house is next door to Paimio´s sports park where there is an ice hockey arena, football field, athletics track, beach volleyball, basketball and tennis courts, running trail in the forest and a playground. The house has a nice size garden (over (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) m2) and plenty of parking. Bus stop for buses to Turku 50m away. Helsinki stop on motorway about 3km away. Walking paths couple of minutes' walk away. A famous nature trail few minutes drive away. * Mandatory recycling scheme, food waste goes to compost - instructions provided in the house. If you mix the waste, we have to book a separate waste collection at a cost of €15 which we will charge to the user.  * Water quality is good and perfect for drinking.  * Fee for losing the key is €60 as they're special order. All damage will be charged via Airbnb system after the stay.  * Please ask the host for instructions on how to use sauna, fee is €5 stay of 1-2 nights, €10 stay 3-6 , € 15 7-10 nights and so on to cover the heating and cleaning of sauna during the stay.  * Firewood can be bought for a fee of €5 per bundle. *  It is possible to use the washer and dryer for a fee of €5-15 (see sauna fee structure) to cover the electricity. *  In summer we have a gas grill to use (€5 for stays of 1-2 nights, €10 for 3-6, €15 7-10 nights to cover the cost of gas).   *Temperature has been set to 20c (68f) and there’s an air heat pump to distribute the heat and cool air in summer, please don’t adjust radiator setting but use the heat pump remote to set temperature as it’s faster and more effective. NOTE: you need to point the remote to the pump in the staircase, it won’t work without direct contact even if remote screen changes. * Towels, linen and cleaning after checkout is included in the price. Shampoo, conditioner and soap also provided. * note: we allow children under 12 but get in touch first to discuss safely as we have staircases and liability is with the guests. We have wooden cot for small children, high chair for feeding and toys in storage, so need to arrange to bring them out in advance. * Generally NO pets but reviewed case by case, when approved there’s a pet fee of €15/day.  * IMPORTANT house rule: I need to be notified of changes to total(additional) number of guests in the house 24h before arrival. Failure to do this is a violation of house rules. If we can accommodate additional guests the fee is 3x more than if we had been advised in time ( €30 a night Pp). If we find that guest numbers have exceeded  max capacity and we will charge an additional  €100/Pp, and you will be reported for Investigation with Airbnb . NO Parties allowed! * During covid the enhanced cleaning takes 5-6h plus a day of airing so we are not offering 1 night stays. We can still do that in exceptional cases so get in touch, but we will charge a higher fee as currently we don’t do back to back bookings and full cleaning is required after each stay.
