Very large, modernised,open-plan, converted outbuilding on a relaxed small holding with stunning views over rolling Sussex countryside. We are ideally located, just 1 mile from the pretty village of Hurstpierpoint, 1 mile from Hickstead horse ground. 20 mins from the nearest beaches , 15 mins from Brighton, 20 mins from Gatwick airport. There are great views to be had from Devils Dyke 5 mins drive. There are plenty of public footpaths straight from our land. Relax and make yourselves at home. This is a very large open plan space which includes a large bedroom with comfortable king size bed connecting to a large open living/dining area with a double sprung sofa bed. Outside there is a large and spectacular vista for you to enjoy. We have a BBQ that you can use and lounging garden chairs and a picnic table. You will be greeted with a complimentary bottle of bubbly and there are complimentary teas and coffee. Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be supervised at all times as we have chickens and our neighbours have sheep. We have a free range friendly dog ( labrador cross). If he bothers you too much, do let us know. If you feed him, hewon’t leave your side. You have a beautiful private grassy area outside the cabin with stunning views for you to enjoy. We live on site and are around to help you, answer questions, recommend places to eat etc but we are not interfering and will give you the space you desire. The pretty villages of Hurstpierpoint, Ditchling and the slightly larger one, Henfield are really nearby and well worth a visit to experience the quintessential English village. Hurstpierpoint has three pubs and a wine bar within a 30 minute walk. Sayers common is less than a mile and has the Duke of York’s pub also at walking distance. A short drive takes you to the Wheatsheaf pub. If you’re a nature lover, we are just 20 minutes from the Knepp Estate pioneering rewilding project where they have wild white storks nesting alongside the reintroduction of beavers etc We are just 10 minutes from the Sussex Wildlife nature reserve ofWoods Mill. Hickstead showground is a mile away and popular for equestrians. They have plenty of events on in the warmer seasons. We have some wonderful English gardens on our doorstep including Nymans, Borde Hill and Sussex Prairie Gardens (they do great cakes). We are surrounded by countryside and there are public footpaths in all directions from our doorstep. Do ask us for recommendations. By car is the way to travel around here. Although it’s a popular area for keen cyclists too. We have ample free parking onsite. The kitchen area consists of a small portable oven with two electric hobs on top. It is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, saucepans, wine glasses etc. There is a large stainless steel sink with draining board and a fridge. There is access to a freezer and a microwave too.
