Cosy double room with private bathroom
Cosy, private basement room, with sole use of a bathroom on the same floor. Your own space, tucked away at the bottom of the house, so you won’t be disturbed! Comfy double bed, sofa, storage space, TV (with USB port), DVD player (with a range of films). Bathroom with a freestanding shower unit, full size bath, toilet and sink. Welcome to my home! The property is a three bedroom, two bathroom, townhouse, located in a converted shoe factory. It combines period charm and spacious rooms, with an ideal town centre location. The development has electric gates (you will be provided with your own fob!), and private parking should you need it. The basement floor has your bedroom and bathroom- no one else has use of that. On the ground floor is another spare room (which you are welcome to use as a private lounge), and the utility room with the washer/dryer and freezer. My bedroom and bathroom are the next floor up, and then the top floor is a large open plan living area, with the kitchen/diner. Having used Air b&b several times as a guest, I am well aware of the importance of providing everything you need to feel at home, but then not getting in your way! My house is ideal because guests can tuck themselves away in the basement, meaning that any interaction is entirely their choice. Having said that, I am very sociable and chatty, and will always welcome the opportunity to get to know my guests, and advise them on the local area. My house is only a few minutes’ walk from the high street, which offers a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants. The station is 10 minutes’ walk, while less than 5 minutes in the car will take you to the popular Wicksteed Park, with its lake, playgrounds, rides and attractions. The beautiful Northamptonshire countryside is right on the doorstep too, including the stunning Boughton House, and any number of charming villages. Kettering is conveniently placed midway between the M1 and the A1, just off the A14. As such, it’s the ideal place to break up a long drive- I can offer you a secure private parking space for your car, should you require it. Kettering train station has an excellent rail line to London- straight to St Pancras in under an hour! The station is 10 minutes walk from my house. There are plenty of local buses which link Kettering to the other towns of Northamptonshire, and the bus station can be reached on foot in only a few minutes.
