Fantastic views - spectacular West Penwith - superb beaches for swimming or surfing + Walking-Exploring-Swimming-Surfing-rock climbing-Relaxing Just a beautiful place to stay A fantastic place to stay - amazing walks - spectacular views - close to beaches, particularly the famous surfing beaches of Sennen and St. Ives or walk to Priests Cove and swim in the pool amongst the rocks - the perfect Cornish holiday! A stylishly converted former miner's cottage on the edge of the popular town of St. Just in Penwith, within a few minutes' walk of the coastal footpath. Amazing views, spectacular sunsets, comfortable living and easy reach of a choice of superb beaches - all these make this cottage the perfect holiday destination. We are always available to give advice (by phone or email) or to help out with any problems but the cottage is yours for the duration of your stay. We hope you enjoy it as much as our family does. The area is a World Heritage Site recognising the importance of this former mining area. Ancient standing stones are in abundance - waiting to be explored - and which give the area a sense of mystery and magic. The beds will be made up for you with crisp cotton bedlinen. There will be a small supply of fuel for the woodburner - more logs and coal can be purchased in Clemos in the town. or from Semmens (just outside the town on the way to Penzance). PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING PEAK SEASON PERIODS (JULY AND AUGUST AND SCHOOL HOLIDAYS) THERE IS A MINIMUM BOOKING PERIOD OF AT LEAST FIVE DAYS. At all other times the minimum booking period is 2 days. The whole cottage and its gardens at front and rear plus a secure parking area for one car adjacent to the cottage (very narrow access!) Miles of walking direct from the cottage and glorious beaches for surfing or swimming. We are always available by telephone/email but our guests are invited to use the cottage as their own for the duration of their stay The area is a World Heritage Site recognising the importance of this former mining area. Your own car is almost essential so that you can enjoy the lesser known and visited places in Cornwall. However, the main line train service terminates at Penzance. Branch line train services from St. Erth to St. Ives. This branch line follows the coast and offers wonderful views of St. Ives Bay and arrives right on the beach at Porthminster. An Open top bus gives brilliant views and makes the journey to St. Ives regularly. Local bus services. Local Taxi Companies You can fly or take the boat across to the Isles of Scilly for a day trip. The beds will be made up for you with crisp cotton bedlinen and we ask that you bring your own towels to take to the beach. DURING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS THERE IS A MINIMUM BOOKING PERIOD OF FIVE DAYS, at all other times the minimum booking period is two days.
