Welcome to peace and tranquility. Le Fouilleul is surrounded by idyllic pastures and woods, a peaceful retreat from everyday life. We hope you will fall in love with the Gîte, and its beautiful setting. Le Fouilleul is ideally situated for hikers and nature lovers, being directly on the GR22. Mont Saint-Michel, the beaches at Granville and historic Bayeux are all within easy driving distance. We guarantee you a comfortable and relaxing stay in a beautiful location. Le Fouilleul is a 2 floor gîte, with a fully equipped kitchen/dining area, bathroom with generous shower, and a separate toilet are on the ground floor. Stairs leading up to the combined bedroom/livingroom with its original beams and stone walls. It is ideal for couples, but can sleep 4 if necessary. The "back door" off the kitchen leads to a BBQ area and outdoor seating, but the entire garden and surrounding fields are available for guests. Full fibre-optic WIFI and multi language Satellite TV are included. In spring-autumn there are often fresh free range eggs available daily. There are horses and a donkey in the pastures and a few chickens range free. Make friends with Squeaky, the barn cat. If you travel with pets, please contact us beforehand. Le Fouilleul is also able to accommodate horse riders on long distance rides, please contact us if you want to use us for a stay to discuss requirements. The Gite is self contained and private, with two entrances. I'm generally available all day. We are situated directly on the GR22, about 50km from Mont Saint-Michel. The waterfalls of Mortain are only a hike away, as is Le Petite Chapelle. There is a café/bar a short drive away. Supermarkets and petrol station are available in Mortain, which is 4km away. Or if you don't feel like going anywhere -- relax on our own land, with its scenic granite pond in the woods. You definitely need a car around here, but if you bring a bicycle, there are many routes to choose from for outings.
