The private rear decking has a brand new hot tub, and you can absorb the beautiful, quiet atmosphere and enjoy a drink in hand. Perhaps in the summer months you may like to eat alfresco; the outdoor furniture offers a wonderful spot to sit out. This is a great place for walkers, anglers, paddlers, cyclists and people who just want to sit and do nothing. Just 2 miles away from the historic market town of Leek and on the edge of the Peak District with the Roaches just a 10 minute drive away. Should you fancy more excitement, Alton Towers is 40 mins away. We are happy to help with any issues and are just a phone call away. We call by daily to check on the hot tub for your safety and well being. The lodge is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised for your stay to Covid guidelines. Nestled in the lakeside village of Rudyard, just 2 miles from the bustling market town of Leek, is this charming lodge. Rudyard Lake has a waterside cafe and boat hire facilities and other watersporting activities. Further afield is the Peak Wildlife Park, home to a family zoo, and Tittesworth Reservoir, a haven for wildlife. There is easy access to all manner of country attractions, including walking and cycling routes, not to mention the wonderful Dovedale Nature Reserve. A visit to Trentham Gardens offers a fabulous shopping village, Monkey World and award winning gardens. Chatsworth House is under an hour away as are the historic towns of Buxton and Bakewell and curiosities such as the plague village of Ilam. Just over an hour's drive away is the bustling city of Stafford, home to a large number of tourist attractions including the historic Stafford Castle, National Trust property of Shugborough Estate and much more. Up in the Peak District a visit to the Bluejohn Mine and other local mines is well worth a trip. It's a good idea to have a car as we are in the countryside. Leek has a fantastic taxi service which is very economical if you want to get from A to B locally. Buses do run daily from Rudyard to Leek and it is possible to walk to town and back without touching a road. There is plenty of parking in Leek.
