The Studio at Sandys House

Close to the centre of Chadlington and the nearby Cafe, which offers breakfasts and light meals, the Tite Inn and local deli and butcher's shops, the Studio offers peaceful and comfortable self-contained accommodation in a lovely garden setting at Sandys House (Grade 2 listed) including kitchen, shower-room and living / creative space with wifi. An ideal retreat for artists / writers or Cotswold visits, and garden tours , with nearby London rail links via Charlbury (GWR) or Oxford. The kitchen provides the things you need if you'd like to store food and cook at home during your stay. Complimentary tea, coffee, jams/marmalade are provided but I'm also happy to arrange other breakfast items if you contact me after booking, or receive online grocery orders in advance of your stay by arrangement. The studio is available for stays of 1 night or more. Please contact me for a quotation for a longer stay. The space is designed to be as light and airy as possible with full-length windows below and large roof lights above. Bi-fold doors open onto the garden space in front. Full-length blinds on the ground floor allow you complete privacy at night and you can take advantage of open views to the sky from the bedroom, although sleep masks are also provided! Off-road parking is available for 1-2 cars. The studio has its own entrance and you are welcome to use the rear garden. Seasonal plants are for sale so please contact me for further details. Chadlington is a lively village with a great community spirit. Village events include the Annual Beer Festival (June), Artweeks events in May and November, and the famous 'Brook Run' to and from the Tite Inn in December. We're also close to Blenheim, Daylesford, Soho Farmhouse, Kingham and Great Tew which regularly host events. We run occasional art and creative workshops at Sandys House during the year. Please contact me for further details. Chadlington is conveniently located with rail inks as indicated and there are regular local bus services, including a direct service to Oxford from the village. I'm happy to assist where possible with lifts to and from Charlbury Station for anyone using the train. The area is also great for walking and cycling and I can help with maps and guides.
