A charming, cosy double-room available in a delightful 1890's country cottage in an Area of Outstanding Natural beauty in Buckinghamshire. The house is situated on a quiet road 1 mile walk from Great Missenden and backs on to fields and woods. The house features stripped floorboards downstairs, living room with log-burner, is non-smoking, clean, bright and light and has all home comforts. Off street parking available. Situated in a small village very close to Great Missenden which is on the Chiltern line and only 6 miles from Amersham or Chesham on the Metropolitan line, only 40mins in to London. Walk out of the house for huge north facing garden, beautiful walks and local country-pubs. Guests can eat in the dining/ breakfast-room and make use of fully fitted kitchen, of one of the sitting-rooms with open fire and piano. There is a family dog, a golden retriever, and a ginger-tom cat, both friendly, so pet-lovers preferred. Upstairs is the generous 12ft+ bedroom with double-bed, wardrobe, chest-of-drawers, glass desk and private bathroom with shower/bath/ toilet. A short walk down the hill in to the old market town of Great Missenden, famous for the Roald Dahl museum. The Chiltern Heritage trial runs past the end of the garden with many many miles of walks to explore. We have a lovely golden retriever, very mellow and a ginger Tom cat, both spend most the day asleep!
