Charming barn conversion in the Kent countryside

Barneta is the annex of a converted barn and is set in an idyllic spot on a sheep farm in the heart of the Kentish countryside but only 10 minutes drive from Hildenborough train station with trains to London and the South Coast. All the amenities of Royal Tunbridge Wells are 20 minutes drive away. It is an excellent base for walking and there are many places of interest to discover such as Penshurst Place, Chiddingstone and Hever Castles with fantastic local pubs along the routes. Barneta is an oasis of calm and offers a peaceful and relaxing stay. It sits adjacent to the main house where a family live with their friendly spaniel and labrador. The space includes: A beamed master bedroom with a double size bed A second double bedroom with a small double bed The mezzanine level is a relaxing spot with a sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with hob, double oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Sit back on the comfortable sofa with a glass of wine, a book or magazine and enjoy the log burner. If you prefer there is a TV and DVD player and a selection of DVDs to enjoy. Outside there is a paved area surrounded by pots and scented by wisteria or roses depending on the season. Sheltered on 3 sides it is a suntrap all year round. We are around to offer advice and information as required but equally we can leave you to your own devices. A substantial welcome pack, including breakfast, will be left in the kitchen to be consumed at your own leisure. Requests can be considered. Please let me know of any dietary requirements before your arrival. The Little Brown Jug offers delicious hot breakfasts at the weekends. Numerous footpaths surround the property that lead to woodland, fields and the River Eden. You can incorporate lunch or a drink at one of the historic local pubs in the neighbouring villages of Penshurst, Chiddingstone and Leigh. The Little Brown Jug is a 5 minute walk and has good food and local beer which can be enjoyed in their fantastic garden. Penshurst train station is within walking distance but your own transport is strongly recommended. Access to the property is via a short rough track.. This is a rural location. The WiFi connection and mobile phone reception isn’t brilliant so you can’t really rely on it for work purposes or streaming films etc. At weekends and in the evenings we may be in the courtyard eating, gardening etc but we will respect your space.
