Authentic established B&B: Rowe’s Farmhouse is a much loved family home offering ‘Simply B&B – Clean, Comfortable & Caring’. Built over 300 years ago in the main, it is a red brick and tile clad Victorian style large 3 storey farmhouse, with several gables, oak beamed and characterful, surrounded by a wildlife garden supporting nature. Everybody welcome! It is situated in rural countryside between Junct. 11 of the M4 and Junct. 5 of the M3 on the outskirts of Swallowfield village in a hamlet surrounded by farmland. There is ample courtyard parking accessed between 2 beech hedges off Church Road/Nutbean Lane corner. Simply furnished all rooms have a desk, TV, seating, coffee/tea making facilities, duvets, soft goosedown top pillow and comfortable spring beds, with central heating boosted by an electric radiator, or cooler fan if needed. Bed linen and towels are washed with Surcare, non-allergenic/non-perfumed. Maximum no. of guests is 6. Long term stays welcome. Fire risk compliant. It offers 3 bedrooms: [1] a single, [2] a double (both with shared wc on the floor below, shower and washbasin ensuite) and [3] a twin/double with ensuite bathroom with an option for 2 extra singles. With hostess service, breakfast is taken in the dining room around a large mahogany table serving an English breakfast cooked on the Aga: a choice of 6 cereals, juice, bread and home-made preserves, a variety of teas or percolated coffee for choice. There is a gourmet pub across the road, others nearby and garden centres locally, providing food. Small shops (with ATM machines) are within 3 miles of the location, some with extended opening hours.
