The Annexe is a beautiful large modern barn conversion in a rural location in the quiet village of Braehead, close to Lanark. Ideally located midway between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Ideal for a couple and their four legged friends to explore the beautiful Lanarkshire outdoors, Pentland hills and Borders countryside. All on one level the annexe has large spacious well-equipped rooms and a generous secure garden. The Annexe has its own entrance and large separate securely fenced garden. Impressive large Lounge / dining room which is approx. 7m x 7m. Two large sofas, TV, electric flame fire, entertainment options of DVDs, books and games and also a lovely oak dining table and comfortable chairs. Bright and large bedroom with king size bed, dressing table, wardrobes, seating area and ample space for travel cot or dog cage. Fully fitted kitchen complete with utensils, hob, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Stylish tiled shower room with large walk-in shower. Gas central heating throughout. Electric flame fire in lounge area. Wooden flooring in main lounge, hall, vinyl in kitchen, tiled bathroom and carpet in the bedroom. The Annexe has its own parking Our main home is the farm house a-joined to the annexe. We are on hand if required but otherwise you won’t know we were there. The quiet well appointed village of Braehead has a variety of woodland walks and a quick 40 mins walk or easy cycle takes you to one of our favourite weekend brunch spots, Higgety Piggety. We are surrounded by a variety of farms from traditional sheep, cattle and horses through to alpaca and pig. We are lucky enough to take in an amazing view of the Southern Upland hills including Tinto hill, which has the most amazing sunsets. Within 10 min drive to the Royal Burgh of Lanark with the not to be missed falls of the Clyde at New Lanark. Equally accessible are Peebles and Melrose or if you fancy a trip to cities, Glasgow or Edinburgh, they are within 40 min drive. A wonderfully located space with something for everyone. Own transport is advisable. Nearest train station with trains to Glasgow or Edinburgh are 15 mins drive. They have free park n ride parking. We have a secure dog park approx 200 yards from The Annexe which is approx 5 acres of farmland with views across to Tinto hill. The fields are securely fenced with 6ft deer fencing and a great area for exercising dogs and humans alike. We can provide you with a discounted rate for you to book a slot during your stay. If the Harrison hens have been laying we will ensure that you have a some delicious free range eggs for you on your arrival.
