How about enjoying the morning coffee on an old stone staircase while overlooking the bay from the farm? Do you want to spend your vacation in an undisturbed peaceful place, enjoying the archipelago life and rural charm? The house is part of an old farm with short walk to its own boatyard, pier and bathing area. We have two recreational, steady kayaks and a 14 feet, 10 HP boat for rent upon availability. There are good fishing opportunities in the area, and you can see lively wildlife. The farm is pet friendly as there are horses, dogs and cats on the farm. Renters are welcome to bring their own animals. This is a true summer paradise perfectly located in Telemark, close to the county boundary to Vestfold. This means that there is a short boat ride to Helgeroa and Langesund. Here you can have the island feeling on land, but with all the amenities such as the road to the door, electricity and water, as well as Wi-Fi and 4G coverage. About the house itself: The building is of a high standard, tastefully decorated and renovated in 2017. This is an old farmhouse with lots of charm, retaining the rustic elements and the soul of the house while maintaining high living standard. The exterior is the traditional white southern style. The house is fully equipped with all facilities and there is underfloor heating in every room on the ground floor. There are four sleeping places on the ground floor and four sleeping places in the attic (where the ceiling is low, ideally for children). The building contains the following rooms: Living room with a sofa that can be folded out to a comfortable double bed, kitchen, master bedroom, hallway and bathroom. As mentioned it is 4 sleeping places in the attic which is accessed by a ladder in the kitchen. The living space is 74.5 m2. In addition, there is a large outdoor area with furniture and dining area. There is a charging space for electric cars. Things to do in the area: Bathing, kayaking (especially nice through Vrangsund and into Mørjefjorden), boating, fishing, great hiking and jogging areas with Håøya close by (varying with simple and challenging terrain) Also on Håøya Nature Reserve: Paradisbukta and Skolebukta, for hiking and swimming. For shopping and restaurants by car: Helgeroa Porsgrunn Stavern Larvik Brevik Langesund Short drive to Helgeroa by car for grocery. Another option for grocery is Telemarksporten, where there is a Tesla supercharger as well. Short drive to the Torpevannet for warmer bathing and freshwater swimming. The house is not accessible by any public transport. A car is needed.
