Troglodyte house in Lavardin 'One of the most beautiful villages in France'

Come and spend a unique holiday in one of the most beautiful villages of France, according to the French association «Les Plus Beaux Villages de France'! Our holiday home, recently restored, gives you 100 m2 of charm and comfort. It is situated in a green environment among a dozen of other troglodytes. When you enter the gate you will arrive at the terrasse in front of the house. This is partially covered and you will find a table and chairs for dining outside. From there you enter in the big living /dining room (4,5 x 9 m) with its large chimney which you can of course use. In the same space you will find the fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, induction cooking and everything else you will need for cooking). The bathroom has a bath with shower, two washbasins and a washing mashing. The toilets are separate. There is a second large room with a convertable couch and also a chair that can be made into a bed. And you will find a audio/TV/Computer space. A computer, ADSL, internet and wifi are at your disposition. In the back of this room there are two bedrooms, each with a double bed (140 x 200 cm et 160x200). Outside, by a couple of steps, you can reach the panorama terasse that has a magnificent view over the village and the Loir valley and you will enjoy the sun from around noon. The sun sets right in front of the two terasses, a beaufiful view. The temperature in the cave is controlled by floor heating and a system of ventilation VMC. In Summer it is a bit cooler inside than outside so no need for an airconditioning. During heatwaves teh temperature stays at 22 degrees Celsius. You can park in the village (250 inhabitants) from which a beautiful small road leads up to the cave. The difference in height is around 25 meters. We have an electric wheelbarrow to help you carry up your luggage.
