The Thatched Cottage

Set in the beautiful and rural part of the New Forest enjoy peaceful, relaxing evenings by your private patio watching the deer and horses. Enjoy all the local attractions the New Forest, Southampton and Bournemouth have to offer, for all ages. Dogs welcome as we offer an exclusive doggy field (1.8 acres) fully enclosed. The Thatched cottage is situated in with the grounds of Holdfast Cottage. Parking is available, along with full use of the grounds which are shared with the owners and guests staying in The Annex Full access to the grounds of Holdfast Cottage, we do ask that dogs are kept on a lead as thier are other guests. Guests are asked to self checkin as hosts are not always available. Holdfast Cottage is located near Bramshaw Village Hall which sometimes holds events in the evening. Other than the village hall we live in a remote rural hamlet of the New Forest and a car is essential for getting around. As we live in a remote area, guests need to bring their own transport as taxi’s are few and far between. Hosts can provide transport at a small fee to cover petrol, however this needs to be booked in advanced. We have an exclusive doggy field 1.8 acres and fully enclosed. We just ask owners to keep their dogs on leads within the grounds of the Cottage due to allotment and chickens.
